light bulb moments

Light BulbI love to teach.

Not in the classic sense of children or textbooks.

I love to teach because of the light bulb moments — when someone smart and savvy like yourself is taught a new strategy or a new tool that will forever change how you think about a problem.

We are just finishing up our annual reviews for our clients. It was so fun to see over and over again those light bulb moments, as results confirmed the hypothesis and a new strategy was proven. Maybe it was a eyebrow lift or a validating nod of the head, but I saw the light bulb go on, and the client and I both knew this was a game-changer.

These successes and big wins have made me passionate to spread the work about how driving traffic, using targeting and focusing on conversion leads to impressive growth in online giving.

The Oneicity team is headed to the Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA) conference next week, and I’ll be speaking on Online Advertising to a team of sharp ministry leaders.

We will be covering:

  • Display advertising
  • CPC (cost per click) vs CPM (cost per thousand)
  • Utilities like the Google Grant (FREE adwords for non profits)
  • Retargeting strategies
  • Keywords
  • Looking at new upcoming online advertising opportunities

I can’t wait to witness all the light bulb moments that will occur!

If you are headed to Dallas for the conference as well, I’d love to see you in our workshop on Thursday.

For those of you who are not, I’ll be highlighting some of the best strategies and tools that we will be teaching in the workshop on the blog over the next few weeks.

Are there any platforms or tools you have questions about? Comment below and I’ll be sure to answer your questions in the upcoming blogs.
